Dancer Warm Up For Jumps and Leaps

12/05/2019
Jumps and leaps are staples for dancers of all ability levels and it’s important that they have the tools to execute these skills with safety and ease.

When I was coaching and dancing I was tired of the same old cues:

“Get low in that plié”
“Lift the back leg”
“Lift from behind”
“Rotate the knees”
“Open the hips!”

These take technique but they also take a certain type of body connection and strength from your dancers.
I wanted to give you a quick lower body circuit that works the essential muscles like core, glutes, ankles, hips and hamstrings to help your dancers explode off the floor with strength and ease.

*  DO EACH EXERCISE FOR 60 SECONDS. PER SIDE OR PARTNER
